ARDROX 1873A has been formulated specifically to descale chrome steels, stainless steels, nickel and cobalt alloys used in the manufacture of aircraft turbine engines. During service, these parts become covered with hard adherent oxide scale, which must be removed prior to penetrant inspection processes.

ARDROX 188 will not normally remove such scales by itself, but will chemically and physically modify them in such a manner as to make them more easily removable by milder and less dangerous methods than the use of strong acids. The main field of use for ARDROX 188 is the overhaul of “hot end” components of gas turbine engines. ARDROX 188 has also been found useful for the removal of adherent carbon smut produced after heat treatment.

Ardrox 188 RFU (Ready for Use) is a liquid version of Ardrox 188 powder. It is primarily designed as an aid in removing difficult heat scales. Heat scales produced on high alloy steels and Nimonics are notoriously difficult to remove even with strong acids. Ardrox 188 RFU will not normally remove such scales by itself, but will chemically and physically modify them in such a manner as to make them easily removable by milder and less dangerous acids such as Ardrox 1873A.

It can also be used as a decarboniser for engine and component cleaning.

Ardrox 1900 D is a new generation, heavy duty, thixotropic, alkaline cleaner for the exterior and interior cleaning of aircrafts and ground handling equipment. It can also be used as a decarbonizer for engine, component cleaning and for the removal of CIC. Ardrox 1900 D is a liquid concentrate consisting of biodegradable surfactants, alkaline additives and corrosion inhibitors to provide a more effective and safer aircraft exterior cleaner.

Hot tank paint and carbon remover. Ardrox 2302 is a mixture of solvents, activators and corrosion inhibitors. It consists of two layers: an upper layer oil seal to prevent evaporation of the active paint removing solvents in the lower layer. Ardrox 2302 contains no phenolic compounds, aromatic solvents or heavy metals. Ardrox 2302 will remove a wide range of paint schemes including baked acrylics, epoxies, polyurethanes, and phenolics. It will also remove carbon or carbonaceous deposits, polymerized gum and lacquer deposits.
