Aerocote 3 is a heavy zinc phosphating compound. It is an economical immersion coating containing a selected combination of acidic metal salts, activators and modifiers that produce fine dense crystalline coatings on ferrous metals. The resulting gray to black finish is an integral part of the metal surface.

Coating Weight : 1500 to 3000 mg/ft2 (16.2 to 32.3 g/m2), depending on the composition and hardness of the material being treated and on concentration, time and temperature of application. Aerocote 3 can be applied to virtually any ferrous metal component (sub-sea parts, tubular goods, threaded components, valves, fasteners, connectors, etc). A post-treatment of rust protection oil is recommended.

Aerocote 4 is a manganese phosphating compound. It produces fine, dense, crystalline coatings on ferrous metals. Aerocote 4 reduces wear and facilitates break-in of bearing surfaces. Aerocote 4 can be applied to virtually any ferrous metal component (sub sea parts, tubular goods, threaded components, valves, fasteners, connectors, etc). Coating Weight is 2000 to 3500 mg/ft2 (21.5 to 37.7 g/m2), depending on the composition and hardness of the material being treated and on concentration, time and temperature of application. Aerocote 4 is especially effective where it is desirable to reduce friction, galling and scoring on ferrous components.

This material is primarily intended as an application cleaner for aluminium. It will remove tarnish, oxide films and light oil from this metal and leave it in a slightly etched condition. ARDROX 1074 is commonly employed for the pre-treatment of aircraft and transport vehicle bodies prior to painting.

ARDROX 1218 is a blend of phosphoric acid and inhibitors. It will remove rust, heat treatment scale and welding scale from ferrous metals. Corrosion on aluminium, copper and zinc alloys may also be removed. ARDROX 1218 is especially suitable for use on chromium-plated ferrous materials and ferrous surfaces which require very close tolerances.

Ardrox 1618 is a concentrated mixture of surfactants, sequestrants and caustic alkali. Ardrox 1618 is particularly effective in cleaning the ferrous parts of internal combustion engines that have become heavily contaminated in service, e.g. valves, cylinder heads. It will remove carbon, paint, rust and lead deposits from such components. It is also used in decarbonising other components such as rubber moulds.

ARDROX 1630 RTU is an aqueous blend of caustic alkali and inhibitors. This product is intended for use as an aid to removing heat scale from titanium alloys. When used in the prescribed manner it will completely remove thin light gold coloured and thicker dark blue coatings from various titanium alloys. After rinsing the process is usually followed by a brightening/etching treatment in Ardrox 1635.

Ardrox 188 RFU (Ready for Use) is a liquid version of Ardrox 188 powder. It is primarily designed as an aid in removing difficult heat scales. Heat scales produced on high alloy steels and Nimonics are notoriously difficult to remove even with strong acids. Ardrox 188 RFU will not normally remove such scales by itself, but will chemically and physically modify them in such a manner as to make them easily removable by milder and less dangerous acids such as Ardrox 1873A.

Hot tank paint and carbon remover. Ardrox 2302 is a mixture of solvents, activators and corrosion inhibitors. It consists of two layers: an upper layer oil seal to prevent evaporation of the active paint removing solvents in the lower layer. Ardrox 2302 contains no phenolic compounds, aromatic solvents or heavy metals. Ardrox 2302 will remove a wide range of paint schemes including baked acrylics, epoxies, polyurethanes, and phenolics. It will also remove carbon or carbonaceous deposits, polymerized gum and lacquer deposits.

ARDROX 2302 SEAL is a clear, colourless to light straw coloured solvent which is used as an oil seal to reduce evaporation losses of ARDROX 2302 bath.
